SUPPLIES -- A MUST

What to take on a camping trip is the ultimate question. I know that when my family and I go camping we have enough supplies to last for a complete season, at least that’s what it seems like. The kids pack up there sleeping bags, tent and cots along with their electronic games. You can’t forget them or your children could drive you crazy with having nothing to do.

I pack the camping stove, utensils, paper goods and all the food along with extra blankets. The first aid kit and fire extinguisher and any other emergency items that you can think of are some of the most important things not to forget at anytime.

My husband has quite the ritual for our trips. First thing to go into the truck is the coolers followed by a nice stack of fire wood. After that comes the fishing gear. Fishing poles are laid out along side the truck bed, tackle boxes and bait boxes are then stacked in on top of each other.

The port a potty for us girls is loaded along with the camp shower, what a relief that is if we are going tenting and not bringing the camper. Other important items to bring along on your camping trip are flash light, lanterns and glow-stick for the kids.

One of the last things that we pack up is the camping table and chairs. You just never know where you might end up and not have a picnic table

Remember, camping is what you want to make of it; this is just a small list of supplies that we take on a tenting excursions. There are a lot more electronics you can take if you want to get out of the city and relax in your travel trailer or RV. Everything from a GPS unit to just ordinary things that you have in your home. Some items that we take when we pull our pop-up camper are a small T.V., microwave (for quick and easy snacks), radio/cd player and even our DVD player for when it happens to rain.
